IBI, as a subcontractor to Chemonics, provided communications analysis, organizational development, and computerization assistance for this micro-finance and small business development project in Senegal, funding some of Senegal’s 800 microfinance organizations to expand and improve their services to clients, most of whom were women living in peri-urban and rural areas. IBI analyzed existing organizational communications structures and methods among the microfinance organizations, within networks, and between each microfinance organization and its clients in an effort to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

IBI provided training in information technology skills and strategic planning, including technical assistance to the Ministry of Finance, assisting with the computerization of their operations to generate the greatest immediate productivity increase.
