IBI Featured in USAID Blog: Insights on Small Business Partnership

IBI President David Colvin along with the Feed the Future Rwanda Trade Facilitation Activity team

We're excited to share that International Business Initiatives (IBI) was recently featured in a USAID blog post discussing our experience as a small business partner. The article, titled "How One Small Business Became a USAID Prime Partner," offers valuable insights for other small businesses looking to work with USAID.

As a woman-owned consulting and training firm with 28 years of experience supporting USAID programs worldwide, we've learned a lot about developing successful proposals for USAID funding. In this feature, our President, David Colvin, shares key advice for small businesses interested in pursuing USAID partnerships.

Some highlights from the article include:

  1. Tips for preparing during the "pre-RFP capture phase"

  2. The value of subcontracting experience

  3. How phased acquisition can benefit new partners

We're particularly proud of our recent success in winning funding for the USAID Feed the Future Rwanda Trade Facilitation Activity, which aims to reduce import processing times in Rwanda by 30 percent.

We encourage all small businesses interested in international development to read the full article on the USAID website. It provides a wealth of information on navigating the USAID partnership process and highlights the unique value that small businesses bring to development work.
